The Ceylon Bird Club is commencing a survey to collect all authentic records of the breeding of all bird species that are resident in the country, to evaluate their status and distribution in a systematic way.

The data can be from anywhere in the country, from your home garden to parts of the island remote or difficult to reach.

Anyone, whether in the Club or not, are welcome to contribute their observations to the Club. These will be of great value in future analyses of this subject, and every contributor will duly be acknowledged individually.

Please fill in the details of your observation in the form provided here and submit it to the CBC. Please use separate forms for observations of different species, even if they are found at the same location, for example at a waterbird nesting colony.
